Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026 · CJ Productions, LLC (“CJ Studios”, “we”, “us”)
We photograph and film some of the most personal days of your life, so we treat your information the way we treat your photographs — carefully. This page explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Questions any time: office@cjstudios.info.
What we collect
- Inquiries & bookings — your name, email, phone, event date, venue, and anything you tell us in a form, call, WhatsApp, or email.
- Client portal — account email, event details you enter (names, honors, family lists, schedules, preferences), messages to our office, and your notification choices.
- Photographs & film — the images and footage we create for your event under your agreement with us.
- Site basics — standard technical logs (browser type, pages visited) that keep the site running and help us understand what's useful. We don't run advertising trackers.
How we use it
- To plan, photograph, film, edit, and deliver your event — the core of what you hire us for.
- To run your client portal: schedules, galleries, albums, retouching requests, and support.
- To send you updates you've chosen (email, and WhatsApp or SMS if you opt in — one channel, never both). Reply STOP to opt out of messages any time.
- To keep records our accountants and the law require (invoices, contracts).
Your photographs & portfolio use
Your contract governs how your images may be used. We only feature a family's photographs in our public portfolio, website, or social media with permission — and if you'd like something taken down, one email is enough.
What we share (and don't)
We never sell your information. We share it only with the services that make your event work:
- Delivery platforms — galleries and films are hosted with professional providers (e.g. SmugMug, Vimeo) under private, unlisted settings.
- Messaging — WhatsApp/SMS updates go through business messaging providers if you opt in.
- Billing — invoices and payments run through our accounting provider; card payments are handled on the payment processor's own secure pages. Card numbers never touch our systems.
- Your vendors — with your go-ahead, day-of schedules are shared with the people running your simcha.
Keeping it safe
Portal access is per-family and invitation-only; galleries are private links; our staff see only what their role requires; and client data is backed up so a technical problem doesn't cost you a filled-out sheet, let alone a photograph.
How long we keep things
Event records and portal data are kept while your portal is active and for as long as we need them to serve you and meet legal obligations. Delivered photographs and films are retained per your contract's storage terms — ask us about long-term archiving.
Your choices
- Ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete what we're not legally required to keep.
- Turn notifications on or off in your portal's Settings, or reply STOP to any message.
- Decline portfolio use of your images — before or after the event.
Children
Our clients are adults. Children appear in our work as subjects of family events; their images are handled under the family's contract and this policy. Portal accounts are for adults only.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll note it here with a new date. Continued use of the site and portal means the current version applies.
