Chabad house films

Chabad House Video Production

Dinner films, campaign videos and the story of a community — made by a crew that already knows what a Chabad house is for.

SCROLL ↓
The brief

The shliach has a story. We film it.

A Chabad house runs on one thing: people who were touched by it and remember why. The film is where that memory is kept and shown — at the dinner, in the campaign email, on the page a prospective supporter opens before deciding. We have made these for Chabad of Palm Beach, for Chabad at Vanderbilt (a campus film and the Lamplighter Award), and for Camp Gan Israel in Maine, and the thing they have in common is that the shliach and the community are the story, not a voiceover about them.

We come to you with the set: key lights, a boom, a second angle, so an interview in the Chabad house library looks like it belongs on screen. Students, families, the rebbetzin, the board member who has been there since the first Friday night — short, honest interviews cut together with footage of the place actually running: Shabbos dinners, the menorah lighting, the classes, the kids. A drone pass over the building and the campus when it earns its place.

Every film is delivered in the cuts a Chabad house actually uses: the full piece for the dinner screen, a two-minute version for the campaign page, and 9:16 vertical cuts for WhatsApp statuses and Instagram, where most of your community will actually see it. Photography and film are one crew, so the dinner gets covered properly without two teams working around each other.

What the job includes
  • Annual dinner and gala films, screened on the night and cut again for the campaign
  • Campaign and matching-day videos, with vertical cuts for WhatsApp and Instagram
  • Campus and community stories — the Chabad house as it actually runs
  • Interview-led films with the set brought to your building
  • Award and tribute pieces for honorees

Questions

Asked before action.

How far ahead of the dinner should we book?+

Six to eight weeks is comfortable: time to film interviews on a weekday, cover a Shabbos program or class, and have the edit approved before the night. We have turned dinner films around faster when a date moved, but the film is better when the interviews are not rushed.

Can you film on campus, out of state?+

Yes. Chabad at Vanderbilt and Chabad of Palm Beach were both filmed on location. We travel with the full set and plan the shoot days around when students and the community are actually there.

Do we get the vertical cuts for WhatsApp and Instagram?+

Always. Every Chabad house film is delivered as the full piece plus 9:16 cuts sized for statuses, reels and broadcast lists, because that is where your community watches.
