Nonprofit Dinner & Gala Video Production
The film that plays on the big screen, the tribute for the honoree, and the coverage of the night itself — one crew, start to finish.
The room goes quiet when the film starts.
An annual dinner has one moment that raises more than any speech: the lights go down and the film plays. We make that film — the organization's year, told by the people it reached — and the tribute pieces for the honorees, cut to run on the night between the courses. The Lamplighter Award film for Chabad at Vanderbilt is one of ours, and the state-of-the-firm films for Roth&Co run on exactly this principle for a corporate room.
The dinner itself is covered too. Multi-camera coverage of the program, the speeches and the honorees, with a livestream for the family and supporters who could not be in the room, and photography from the same crew so the organization has its event properly documented without a second team to coordinate. Interviews for the film are shot in the weeks before, on a set we bring to your office, your school or the honoree's home.
Afterwards the film becomes the campaign: a shorter cut for the follow-up email and the website, vertical cuts for WhatsApp and Instagram, and a clean recording of the night for the people who ask for it. Nothing is shot once and used once.

Asked before action.
Can you film the dinner and also make the film that plays at it?+
Yes, and it is the usual arrangement. The film is shot and cut in the weeks before; on the night the same crew covers the program with multiple cameras and, if wanted, a livestream.
How long should a dinner film be?+
Four to seven minutes holds a room. Longer than that and the dessert wins. We cut a shorter version for the campaign afterwards, where attention is shorter still.
What if the honoree cannot sit for an interview?+
We build the tribute from the people around them — family, colleagues, the people they helped — and from photographs and footage they already have. Some of the strongest tributes we have made were done this way.
Also on the slate.
