What we photograph

Jewish Family Portrait Photographer in New Jersey

The family portrait that everybody actually wants is the hard one: four generations, thirty-odd people, half of them under six, taken in the twenty minutes before somebody has to be put down for a nap. It is a logistics problem before it is a photography problem. Who stands where, which grandchild sits on which lap, and how to get it done in one pass rather than three so the two-year-olds are still cooperating at the end.

We do these around yom tov, before a chasunah, or for no reason beyond the fact that this particular group of people is not going to be in one room again for a while. Outdoors at the shore when the season allows, at home when it does not. Individual family groups as well as the full one, because the wall in your dining room and the wall in your mother's dining room want different pictures.
