Jewish Wedding Photographer on Long Island
Long Island weddings are usually catering-hall weddings, and catering halls are a specific photographic problem: beautiful in the brochure, difficult in practice. Grand rooms with dark ceilings, a bridal suite with one window, a garden that is perfect for ninety minutes a day, and a maître d' running a schedule that will not wait for photographs.
So the schedule is agreed with the venue rather than around it, and the twenty minutes outside are booked into it in writing. The ceremony is lit for rather than hoped about. And the family photographs get done in one pass before the ceremony, which is the single change that most improves a Long Island wedding album and the one most venues will not suggest. We come out from New Jersey, and photography and cinema are the same in-house team rather than two vendors meeting for the first time in your lobby.
