An Atlantic City wedding is a hotel wedding with an ocean attached, and the ocean is the reason to shoot it there. It is also a twenty-minute window: the light on that beach in the hour before sunset is the best thing the venue has, and it is gone quickly. Any schedule that puts the couple's portraits after the ceremony in November has already lost them.

So the day gets built backwards from that window. The rest is a large hotel, which brings its own problems — long corridors between the room and the ballroom, a ceremony space that is usually indoors and usually dim, and a load-in that has to be booked. We handle those the way you handle any hotel: arrive early, light the room properly rather than pushing the ISO and hoping, and know the route from the suite to the floor before anybody needs to walk it in a dress.
